Orders
How long does it take to get my order back?Your tailored suit and/or overcoat will be ready in 6 to 7 weeks, and often sooner. Tailored shirt orders are typically ready in less than 6 weeks. We will email you as soon as your order is ready to notify you that it is ready for collection at one of our fitting days or has been dispatched directly to you in line with your order instructions.
What happens if my order needs any alterations? We will make all reasonable alterations to your garment if your measurements were taken by one of our tailors. We offer a discounted alterations service for customers providing their own measurements through the internet. Simply send your garment to our office address (shown in the Contact Us page) or drop your garments off at one of our fitting days. Alterations take 10 days to complete and your garment will then be either sent to you or made available for pick up at one of our fitting days.
Will you make alterations to garments I've purchased from other companies?Yes, we offer an affordable alterations service for all of our customers. Simply bring in your garments to one of our fitting days or send your garments to our office address with clear instructions of the alterations you require. If your alterations are likely to be complicated please call a member of Cad & The Dandy staff to discuss the alterations first.
How much do alterations cost? Please speak to a member of Cad & The Dandy staff to obtain a full price list.
What happens if I want to change my order?Once your order has been processed you have 24 hours to inform us of any changes you require. After this time your order cannot be amended as it will have entered production.
How accurate a representation are your fabric samples and online images?Cad & The Dandy try wherever possible to use up to date fabric samples and employ an advanced imaging process to ensure accurate representations online. However, monitor settings vary and images will differ from computer to computer.
Will my fabric be exactly the same if I reorder an item or extra trousers? Our fabrics are produced in long, but ultimately limited lengths. There will be variations between fabric rolls so separate orders using the same fabric code may vary. Please contact Cad & The Dandy before reordering items such as spare trousers to ensure the same fabric roll is still in stock.
Product Range
Do you make dinner jackets?Yes, we do. They're currently available for purchase at our fitting days, but will soon be introduced for purchase online.
Do you make morning coats and / or white tie?Yes, we do. They're currently available for purchase at our fitting days.
Do you offer a service for weddings or group purchases?Yes, we offer a range of products for wedding parties and offer a free shirt to all the groomsmen for purchases of five or more suits. Speak to one of our staff about organising a dedicated fitting session for your wedding party.
Can you make suits from fabric I supply?Absolutely. Although we hold a broad range of fabrics and are constantly increasing and updating our range, it's not possible to hold fabric to accommodate every taste. If you find a cloth that you just have to have, either arrange an appointment and drop your fabric off at one of our fittings days or send it to us and order online (speak to one of our tailors about processing these orders).
How are your garments made?Once your measurements have been taken and your online Cad & The Dandy account created your order will be held for 24 hours before being sent into production. We will cut a length of our fine European fabric which is then sent to our skilled international tailors. A cutter first makes a pattern to your exact measurements before chalking out and cutting your cloth. Your suit is then put through a series of over twenty different stages, from introducing the fusing, adding the lining and finally carefully finishing the suit with detailed hand stitching. During this process your garment will pass through three stages of quality control to make sure a consistent and quality garment is made specifically for you, every time.
Are your international tailors treated well?We take employee conditions very seriously and ensure that all tailors are treated well. All employees are over the age of 16 and well over the local minimum wage. Many of the tailors start at 16 or 17 and embark on a Cad & The Dandy endorsed training scheme, allowing them to learn the trade and move up through the ranks. A typical journey for a new recruit is to start off working on details such as buttons and minor stitching, before progressing to more complicated fusing, lining and advanced stitching, and finally becoming a cutter and then Master Tailor.
Can I order individual items rather than a full suit?Of course! At Cad & The Dandy you have the choice to order as few or as many items as you want. Our easy to use online ordering system gives you the choice and flexibility to do this without even having to visit us.
Can I see some items before I buy?At every fitting session we will have samples of garments on display. Feel free to stop by and check them out, we're confident that you'll be impressed with our offering!
