Pitti Uomo Style – Get Your Coat (and Hat)

January 17th, 2017

Hats and overcoats featured heavily at last week’s Pitti Uomo, courtesy of both the season and the stylish. This biannual trade show, located in Florence, has the great and the good of menswear flocking together to show off their best looks, network, be photographed and generally hang around looking good.

Never ones to shy away from the limelight the Cad team were caught on camera by street style photographer Robert Spangle (Thousand Yard Style) and subsequently featured in British GQ’s The Strongest Street Style at Pitti Uomo. Proud to be showcasing the very best that Savile Row and British tailoring has to offer in our bespoke suits, tailored jackets and handmade overcoats.

The team wore a variety of worsted and tweed tailored suits, in medium weights, ideal for City wear. Added protection from the elements came in the form of bespoke overcoats, made from our more resilient heavyweight cloth collections. The weather and temperature at the winter Pitti Uomo proved ideal for multiple layering tailoring opportunities, including the addition of our new scarf range.

During the event we also made time to catch up with friends from Sharp & Dapper, Foster & Sons, Albert Thurston and Laird, among others too numerous to mention. Not bad for a few days work.

Here’s to the next visit, when we’ll be back showcasing the best of our bespoke summer suits and tailored separates in June. Thanks to Robert Spangle (Thousand Yard Style) and Johan Ekelund (Sharp & Dapper) for sharing their photos with us.
