Bespoke Fully Hand Stitched Suits

November 26th, 2015

Our fully hand stitched suits are what a true bespoke suit is meant to be. Offering the finest in construction, with a full floating canvas, intermediate fittings and detailed hand finishing, these are the hand stitched suits that every man wants.

INTERMEDIATE FITTINGS
Once we create your unique pattern we create a test suit know as a “toile”. At these intermediate fittings you’ll have an in-depth discussion with one of our tailors about the fit of the suit and how it can be tweaked to perfection. We will often insist on several toile fittings to ensure your pattern is perfect before we begin work on your finished suit. At each stage we update your pattern so we can recreate the fit for your future purchases. You’ll then come in for a final fitting on your suit where any minor alterations are turned around in just a few days.

FULL FLOATING CANVAS
Every bespoke suit needs support in the forepart (front panels) to create and hold shape. At Cad & The Dandy we use a linen and horsehair canvas to achieve this, unlike the cheaper plastic fusing used in most ready-to-wear and many tailored suits. Each of our fully hand stitched bespoke suits has a full canvas sewn into the jacket allowing the internals of the jacket to move. This results in the jacket sitting better on the body, holding more shape, feeling more comfortable and provides greater breathability. This is how a true Savile Row suit is constructed.

MASTER TAILOR
Our most skilled tailors are recruited into our fully hand stitched division to deliver the best in hand tailoring and custom made suits. The internals are stitched by hand creating incredible shape and durability. The jacket lapels and front button holes are sewn by hand for the ultimate in hand finishing.

LUXURY
This is the process and quality you should be demanding from a truly bespoke suit. Ignore the hoards of tailors claiming to offer “bespoke” when they don’t and experience the real thing from just £1000.
