The British Invasion – Our New, New York Location

Housed at 130 W.57^th St, our New York City pied-a-terre is more gentlemen’s club than shop, in a building that has accommodated many of the world’s leading creatives since its completion at the turn of the twentieth century.

One of New York’s best surviving examples of an ‘Artist Building’, it was designed by architects Pollard & Steinam, with the aim of providing live/work spaces for the City’s creative communities.

It has become an iconic New York address over the years due to its many notable residents who have included artist Childe Hassam, writers William Dean Howells and Joseph Heller, musicians John Oates, Ray Charles and the Rolling Stones, as well as New Yorks’ most prolific actor/director, Woody Allen.

At Cad & The Dandy we have carefully curated each of our locations – from humble beginnings ten years ago in Birchin Lane – once the hub of medieval London’s clothing trade – to the world famous tailoring mecca that is Savile Row, five years later. Add to these last year’s Swedish expansion at Götrich, located on one of Stockholm’s most historic shopping streets, Linnégatan, and on to New York at 130 West 57^th in 2018.
